Registration and Refund Policies

Please understand we can only run courses if they at least break even or incur only a small loss. Our instructor contract policy allows us 40 days cancellation after which we are locked into our agreement. For this reason we have a strict cancellation policy that safeguards registered students as well as EquiworkSA / CanineworkSA from financial losses and opportunity cost due to an untimely student withdrawal leading to course cancellation.

Written notice of withdrawal from a course must be received by EquiworkSA / CanineworkSA no later than 6 (six) weeks before course commencement for a registered student (a person that has submitted a registration form for any particular course) to be entitled to a refund of their course fees (less deposit). Course deposit fees are non-refundable if a withdrawal request is received less than 60 days before course commencement. Any registered student will forfeit their course fees whatever their reason after the 6 week cut-off deadline. Should you find yourself in this position, you may sell your spot to another individual who meets the course prerequisites. We ask that you please notify the office for the data correction.

No refunds will be granted after the 6 (six) week cut-off date for any reason except bona fide medical reasons backed up by medical records - this does not include medical conditions of family members.

Your letter of confirmation, course fact sheet, accommodation list and receipt will be sent to you by return post. Any applicable course manuals or glossaries will be sent to you approximately one month before class starts and the full course fees have been settled. Please advise if you do not receive any of the abovementioned material by the appropriate dates. Online registration is available at or

To re-iterate, any registrations received by EquiworkSA / CanineworkSA and not cancelled by written notification 6 (six) weeks before course commencement will be deemed as accepted – in this regard full course fees are deemed outstanding and must be paid irrespective of attendance of the registered student. All solicitors’ fees incurred in recovering the course fees will be for the account of the registered student.

Where a course has not reached the minimum number of course participants, EquiworkSA / Equinenergy / Equinology Inc OR CanineworkSA / Caninenergy / Caninology Inc. reserve the right to cancel the course. EquiworkSA / Equinenergy / Equinology Inc OR CanineworkSA / Caninenergy / Caninology Inc. will not be held responsible for any losses incurred due to cancellation or postponement of a clinic: travel insurance is advised where appropriate. In the event of a course cancellation all registered participants will receive a full refund. Where required, students must take out appropriate indemnity insurance to cover the duration of the course and the required externship. Where such an insurance is already in place a copy of the relevant documentation must be presented at the time of registration.

Numbers of participants are limited for each course, as soon as a course has reached its full number of participants a waitlist will be opened to allow prospective students to join the course in the event of cancellation of registrations.

Course credit for Continued Professional Development for professional institutions will only be granted if the required externship has been completed: this forms part of the total course hours.
