Equine CranioSacral Techniques I

This course is taught by the very popular international instructor Gail
Wetzler. The workshop is designed to teach participants the anatomy and
physiology of the craniosacral system and its relationship to health
and disease in people and animals. Class work is divided between
lectures, demonstrations with loads of hands-on practice.
Course Outline:
- Equine CranioSacral Therapy (ECST) application and theory
- Using ECST for equine rehabilitation
- What is energy?
- The CranioSacral rhythm
- Full demonstration of ECST
- CranioSacral structure and function
- Equine anatomy
- Human fascial system
- Application of fascial techniques
- Equine fascial system
- Comparative intracranial membrane system (human vs. equine)
- Demonstration of Equine Membrane System
- Overview of CST series
- The equine pelvis and ECST
- Introduction of the Ten Step Protocol
By
the end of the course, participants will be able to localize and
facilitate the correction of significant restrictions and imbalances in
the craniosacral system as it pertains to people and animals.
Prerequisite:
Those individuals who have not had any craniosacral study must first
complete the 2 day Upledger Human Introduction to CST. The details can

This
intro course if offered world wide and quite often enabling you to fit
it into your schedule. By doing the intro course first or similar, we
can spend most of our time on the horses!
You
do not need complete the Equine Body WorkerŽ Certification Course or
have an equine sports massage certification to take this course.
However, horse handling skills and a thorough understanding of equine
safety is a must!

An Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy by Don Cohen
This
course is a required course for the Specialized Equine Body WorkerŽ
CranioSacral Series (SEBWcs). Specialized certification in this
modality is offered after the successful completion of the Equine Body
WorkerŽ Certification Course as well as the two required ECST courses
(EQ1200 and EQ1210). However, you may take this course no matter what
level you are at in the industry as long as you meet the required
prerequisites listed above.
